In addition to being a Wayfinder, I am a lifelong educator and interfaith chaplain. After almost four decades teaching in higher education, I became a community chaplain with a focus on hospice care and companioning people at the end-of-life. 

Five years ago, as part of my chaplaincy work, I founded The Hummingbird Center, a beauty-filled sacred gathering place overlooking a river valley and a sweeping mountain view. In response to a growing need, the Hummingbird Center became a cozy, safe sanctuary for hosting Medical Aid in Dying eligible guests with their families. 

About Me

Clients/guests may use the Hummingbird Center on the chosen day of ingestion based on a sliding scale offering of $300 to $500. Individuals working with Wayfinders other than myself are also welcome to come to the Hummingbird Center for their chosen ingestion day.

As a Wayfinder, I support clients to navigate both the practical and emotional-spiritual landscape related to Medical Aid in Dying. I am highly detailed and resourceful in the scope of my work as a patient navigator, and a deep and caring listener. 

I provide a range of services, including hospitality at the Hummingbird Center, and support individuals/families to:  

• understand and navigate Vermont’s MAiD law and processes.

• potentially identify and reach out to MAiD prescribing physicians

• identify and help arrange for a local hospice to provide care at the Hummingbird Center 

• communicate with your family about the experience of taking the MAiD medicine, and what to expect

• provide interfaith spiritual support 

• identify a funeral home, decide on arrangements, and assist with calling the funeral home

• invite a death doula of your choosing as a partner to be present on the day of ingestion 

• prepare for an effective ingestion
